About

I became passionate about Mokuhanga when I was working on my first print in the Mokuhanga School of Terry McKenna in Japan in 2019. . Terry’s patient teaching and his obvious respect and passion for the artform really connected with me.

I instantly fell in love with the rhythm of carving and the skill it takes to print. As a printmaker I appreciate both the art and the craft of Mokuhanga. I enjoy making the design and equally the practice of the craft and the dedication it takes to become a skilled carver and printer.

My aim is to gain enough skill to be able to teach this wonderful artform and share it with others so it becomes more well known.
